Waterlillies
The
Nymphaea family are considered true “waterlilies”, aquatic fresh
water plants with famous “lily pad” leafs and attractive flowers.
All
waterlilies are grown with the plants fully submerged beneath the
water, preferably in a typical ornamental pond being planted into
pots of appropriate soil that are fully submerged beneath the water.
They will in the growing season send leaves and flowers up to the the
surface of the water.
Most
waterlilies are quite hardy, fast growing and flower fairly freely
over a long flowering season. Generally they grow to mature full size
flowering plants very rapidly, and those plants available for
purchase from us will be of sufficient size and advancement to
rapidly grow to full maturity within the same growing season they are
purchased and planted assuming they are purchased at a reasonable
time and then grown in reasonable conditions.
For some
more information on when to purchase or how to grow waterlilies see
the various waterlily categories.
NOTICE
Temperate waterlilies are now available for mail order.
Tropical lilies and many miniatures will be available in a few months.
