Lotus Mail Orders Ended

It’s been a good year for lotus and the plants are unfortunately already too large to continue to send in the mail. All lotus on the web site are now listed as unavailable for online mail order.

However you can STILL BUY LOTUS ON SITE AT THE NURSERY. And in fact it is now the prime season in which to do so as plants are becoming advanced and established and beginning to produce flower buds.

Our on site lotus are priced differently (this year $40 for a 33cm bucket, some limited rare varieties at $65), but you receive an advanced potted plant instead of a bare rooted plant.

If you are interested in buying our lotus and can make it to the nursery we recommend you do so for larger plants and a larger selection of varieties. And of course for the extended seasonal availability starting now.

First lotus available for mail order

Here at the nursery we have begun dividing and repotting our early varieties of Lotus. This is the ideal time to order them in the mail and we have started listing the first shooting varieties of lotus as in stock on the web site.

Over the coming month even more of our lotus will be made available. But some of our top varieties including new ones like Hunter Blaze are now already listed as ready to order!

Lotus Section Complete

We have just completed filling out our range of lotus in our online catalog. (Though we may yet add more at a later date).

Nearly our full range of lotus are now visible, and while not yet available for mail order it should not be long until they are (keep an eye out here for an announcement).

For now we will return to filling out more of our miscellaneous plants catalog, many of which will be available as they are added. Any completion of major new sections or activation of large groups as they become seasonally available will as usual be mentioned here in the news.

Upcoming Lotus Section

Recently we have been getting a lot of inquiries about our range of Lotus plants after lotus has been featured in a prominent gardening magazine.

Unfortunately right now the site is in the middle of being updated and our lotus section is still listed as empty.

Due to the surge in interest we will be pushing to update our lotus section sooner than we had planned, so keep an eye out here in the news.

For those wondering when Lotus will be available from us by mail order or retail,

Mail Order Lotus will be available approximately between late September and early December. Though it does vary a little based on seasonal conditions.

Retail Lotus will be available at our nursery from some time in November until some time in March. Though again, it does vary with seasonal conditions and we sometimes sell out of some stock in January/February.

We limit our mail order season for lotus due to the need to send them while they are growing and shooting for the best chance at successfully establishing them, and before they grow too large to mail.

Our range of lotus will be available to be viewed directly on this site as soon as possible, ideally within the next week or less, and certainly well before they are available for mail order.
