Lotus plants are now too large and fragile for mail order and no longer available on the web site for purchase. They will be available for mail order again around Spring next year.
Lotus plants are still available for purchase as advanced potted plants at our retail nursery for the rest of summer or until stocks run out.
Other plants including temperate and tropical water lilies remain available for mail order.
Lotus plants are getting too large to send in the post and some time in the next few weeks lotus will no longer be available for mail order this season. A few varieties are already unavailable, place your orders while you can.
Our first varieties of tropical water lillies for the summer mail order season are now available to order on the web site. More varieties will become available over the next month or so.
The majority of our lotus range is now available for mail order. Mail order season is relatively short and usually ends after just a few months when the plants are too large to post and its best to place orders and plant your lotus early anyway.
Lotus plants at the nursery will take a little longer to grow on and will be ready as advanced potted plants for retail at the nursery some time in the next month or two depending on seasonal conditions.
With early Spring like conditions mail order season will begin soon for early Spring plants including some temperate water lilies.
The first mailing day will be Monday 21st of August. Plants will be made available for mail order on the website during the week before that starting on the 14th of August.
After the 21st of August you can expect a growing range of our plants to rapidly become available for mail order as growth accelerates through Spring including most of our temperate lily range and also our Lotus range.
Mail orders of items on the web site will be disabled shortly with the last orders being sent out on Monday 24th of April.
We close mail orders during Winter as the majority of our plants do not handle transplant and division well during their dormancy period.
Mail orders will open again early next season as plants begin to grow again in Spring.
Depending on seasonal variation typically temperate water lilies and early spring water plants will be available early September, or sometimes even late August, lotus are usually available some time late September and tropical water lilies more towards late Spring or early Summer.
We will post news items here as items become available again.
Tropical Water lilies are no longer available on the site for mail order. There are still miscellaneous plants available for a limited time before closure of mail orders entirely for winter.
Tropical Water lilies (and temperate lilies) are still available as potted advanced plants for retail sale at our nursery.
Temperate and Tropical Water Lilies and Lotus will be made available for mail order again next season as they become ready for division and postage starting in early Spring with Temperate Lilies and then Lotus and running to late Spring for Tropical lilies.
With the December mailing delays over we have enabled mail orders on the website.
Tropical Water Lilies are now available for mail orders, including the popular blue and purple lilies and a few night flowering varieties.
Mail orders will resume on Monday the 9th, and go out each Monday as usual after that.
Due to public holidays and a partial postal week mail orders will not be sent out on Monday 23rd of January and will hold over until Monday 30th.
Mail orders are now disabled and all items are listed as out of stock on our online store due to the extended postage times for packages of live plants in December.
Plants, including Tropical Water Lilies will be listed as available again in January for the second half of the 2016/2017 season with the first orders being sent out on Monday 9th January.
Due to issues with packages with time sensitive live plants arriving on time during the Christmas package rush we do not send mail orders out over December.
Our last mail order post out for 2016 will be Monday November 28th.
Orders received and processed before that will be sent out that Monday.
Mail orders will then recommence in January. Items will be listed as in stock again in the first week of January with the first mailing day being Monday January 9th.
Due to a late season for Tropical Water Lilies this year it is likely that the January restart for mail orders will be the first date that tropical water lilies are available for mail order this season. However tropical lilies will likely be available before then retail at our nursery over December.
