Lily mail orders end for Summer

Once again we are coming into the winter dormancy for water lilies making them unavailable for mail order.

Many lilies are still available retail pick up at our nursery.

Temperate lilies and lotus will become available again next Spring.

Tropical lilies some time after that.

Some other water plants are still available for mail order for a brief time before winter.

End of Mail Order Season Soon

We are approaching the end of the 2018-2019 mail order season as we head towards autumn. Some plants will become unavailable before we eventually deactivate mail orders for the season.

Notably temperate waterlilies will shortly become unavailable for mail order as it gets too late in the season to safely divide and pot them.

However most of our range of Louisiana water iris are now available for mail order due to their winter growing season.

Lindsey Woods released for mail order

We have now made some stock of Lindsey Woods available for the first time on our web site.

Lindsey Woods is a striking purple tropical water lily flower that contrasts strongly with its almost black sepals and flower stalks and its dark foliage.

Update: 21/1/2019 And due to significant demand we are now already out of stock of Lindsey Woods for mail order. It remains available as an advanced potted plant at our nursery retailing for $45.

We will list it available for mail order again as stocks and seasonal limitations allow.

Mail orders to resume in 2019

Mail orders are currently unavailable on the web site.

We disable mail orders in December to avoid time sensitive live plant package delivery delays due to the extra parcel traffic at that time.

The first mail orders of 2019 will be sent out on the first Monday of January, Monday the 7th of January 2019.

Mail orders on the web site will be enabled in the week prior for that mail out.

No longer sending mail orders to Tasmania

Sending plants to Tasmania has always been difficult, but we have persevered regardless.

Now however it is apparently possible to be unpredictably billed for formerly free routine package inspections.

Rather than raise our mailing fees for Tasmania somewhat astronomically we have decided to simply discontinue mail orders to that state.

Lotus Mail Orders End for 2018

Since the plants are now too large to post this season Lotus are no longer available for mail order.

They are still available as advanced potted plants at our nursery for the rest of Summer.

Lotus will be available again for mail order next year, usually starting some time in September.

Lotus Mail Order Season Begins

The first of our lotus are now available for mail order this season.

More may become available over the next few weeks but much of the range is already in stock.

Lotus mail order season is short and plants will likely be too big to mail in just a few months.

Lotus are not yet available as potted plants at the nursery for retail sale, they will be in a month or so. But once they are available they will be available all summer beyond the limited season for bare rooted lotus in the mail.

Spring mail order season has begun

Mail orders for our early Spring stock, a small selection of water iris, and our first temperate water lilies of the season have been enabled.

The first orders will be sent out on Monday the 20th of August.

This year we have added a new water lily to our online range,  Wanvisa a hardy high performance lily with strikingly attractive variegated flowers. Check it out as it is an excellent plant both for beginners and experienced collectors alike.
